Soline
The village of Soline is beside the sea, under the Adriatic highway, and got its name from the saltpan that has been spoken about since olden times. Its genuine and hospitable hosts have opened the doors of their homes to numerous guests who will enjoy it again and again, in the same way as they did when they came the first time.
The Church of St. Nicholas (sv. Nikola), the protector of travellers and sailors, is located in the most beautiful spot. You can see that there have been two phases of building, the first from the 14th and 15th centuries with gothic characteristics, and the second from the 18th century on its extended part.
The village of Smokovijenac is located not far from Soline, and beside a spring that has the same name and was first mentioned in 1281.
